Assisted Living offers a housing alternative for older adults who may need a little help with activities of daily living but do not require the intensive medical and nursing care provided in nursing homes. Typical services in Assisted Living residences include three meals a day in a common dining area, housekeeping, transportation, medication reminders and/or help with medications, health care management and monitoring, and assistance with eating, bathing, dressing, toileting and walking. Residents live independently in apartment-style accommodations and come and go as they please.
